DP Bereavement Cafe

Whatever your grief, however long or short you’ve known it, you’ll always find a warm and openwelcome at DPHQ.

At Dead Positive we open our doors twice a month so that anyone who’s grieving can find aplace of safety in which they are as welcome as their grief is.

Some people come to cry. Some people come to talk. Others just come because they know they’ll spend an hour in the company of others who just get it. No brave faces. No forced positivity. Just gentle company, a shared space and zero expectations of you.

Whether your grief has been with you for decades or weeks, whether it’s pre-grief or the grief that follows someone’s death, whether you loved them unconditionally or whether things were a bit more tricky than that, you’ll find no judgement with us.

Bereavement Cafes are free to attend, but as a not-for-profit organisation we welcome donations to help keep ourselves afloat.

Our bereavement cafes are generously supported by Ma and Ja Artisan Food, Cakes and Coffee (Albert Square, Widnes) who provide our grievers with the most delicious cakes to enjoy whilst together.
